This location has a rich history. It once served as a destination swimming spot for the locals and travelers in the area, known as Drunkards Flat. In 1993 the first and only restaurant building to be built directly on the lake opened and was named Jimmy’s Original Oyster Bar. Five years later, Mark and Larkin Hammond founded Larkin’s on the Lake restaurant in 1998. Larkin’s quickly became a local favorite and a prime visitor destination throughout the following years. I joined the team at Larkin’s on the Lake in the fall of 2003. In 2007, I teamed up with my wife, Robin, to help the Hammonds grow and maintain a successful brand. After many years of working hand in hand with the Hammonds, they decided to sell the business to Robin and I on August 5, 2019, and thus Lakehouse was founded. Robin and I have numerous years of experience in the restaurant business and take pride in serving the people who choose to dine at our establishment. We are also extremely grateful for the numerous staff members whom we have worked with over the years that have helped us succeed in doing our best. LakeHouse is dedicated to serving all of our guests with sincere hospitality and in being the employer of choice in our area. Robin, the staff, and I look forward to finding new opportunities to strengthen old relationships and to build new ones in the years to come.

LakeHouse is dedicated to using the freshest ingredients in all of our signature dishes and we strive to work with local farmers to make this happen. Our culinary team secures and inspects the freshest fruits, vegetables and herbs from our local sources and transforms these quality ingredients into the dishes that you love best!
We are currently not accepting reservations for our upstairs dining room and will be on a first come, first served basis until further notice.
Our downstairs inside bar and outside patio dining areas are seated on a first come, first served basis starting daily at 11:30 a.m. through closing times. However, we do recommend that you call ahead for downstairs seating for parties of 10 or more so that we can get your name on our waiting list and plan to accommodate you as swiftly as possible.
Due to spacing and service concerns we do not allow pets in the restaurant (including our outside patio serving area). During season when we are fully staffed, we do offer to seat customers with pets at a table downstairs on our dock seating area.
Please note that we do request one check for parties of 12 or more. If this is not convenient, please let your server know at the beginning of your dining experience.
